Saint Elmo Peak is a steep climb, that isn’t usually very busy, close to Hill City. The trail can be difficult to follow at times. Wear pants even if it’s warm as the trail is pretty overgrown and you will get your legs scraped up in shorts. You will be rewarded with views of Black Elk Peak and surrounding area from the top.
