Located about 13 miles north of Spearfish on Hwy 85, Belle Fourche deserves a stop on your itinerary as the geographical center of the nation. The actual center is located about 13 miles north of Belle Fourche on private property. Therefore, the 21 foot diameter monument is located at the Tri-State Museum and Visitor Center in Belle Fourche.

If you’re in the area around the 4th of July, the Black Hills Roundup is a must-do. The Roundup is one of the oldest continuously held outdoor rodeos in America.
