Mostly Chocolates

The Black Hills Sweets & Treats Tour

Mostly Chocolates & MC Coffeehouse was my very first stop on the Sweet Treats Tour, and honestly, it set the bar dangerously high right away.

A place where you walk in for chocolate and somehow end up fully settled into a chair 45 minutes later like you pay rent there!

The second I walked in, I got hit with the smell of coffee and chocolate at the same time, which honestly should be bottled and sold as therapy. Everywhere you look, there’s something good staring back at you. Chocolate covered Oreos, giant pretzels, peanut clusters, apples, platters, rows of truffles… and somehow every single thing looked like the correct choice. The truffles definitely felt like the stars of the show though. I tried the raspberry truffle and immediately understood why people become “truffle people” after coming here.

I also loved that the shop had way more personality than I expected. Between the gift selections, holiday items, baby gifts, religious pieces, and even the map of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation above the fireplace, the entire space felt personal and welcoming instead of overly polished or corporate.

By the time I left, I had coffee in one hand, chocolate in the other, and fully understood why people stay here way longer than they planned to.
