There is plenty of parking at the Mystic Hills Hideaway Campground. From there, you will walk along Custer Peak Road until you come to a Y, take a right to head up to Custer Peak Fire Lookout Tower. It is possible to drive up to the Y, however you will have to park on the shoulder as no parking is available here. If you choose to drive to the Y, your total distance to hike to the peak is closer to 4 miles round trip.
